Course overview

Set amongst the magnificent Wollongong Botanic Garden in spring, this comprehensive 4-hour field trip with Neoklis will teach you creative black & white and colour photography with your Smartphone or Tablet using various photography techniques.

With Neoklis’s in-depth knowledge and experience, you will learn:

– How to set up Smartphone camera / device properly

– How use your built-in monochrome and colour picture styles – to properly capture photographs straight out of camera in both black and white and colour; of your travels, scenery, landscape, and capturing the moment.

– Close-up Photography

– How to see shadow and light and photograph properly in black and white

– How to capture mood and tell a story using through colour

– How to interpret and see the light

– Composition and Negative space

– Point Of View – POV and Framing

– How to zoom with your feet

– Capturing the moment

The Tutor will teach you how to ‘see beyond’ the secret ingredient to great Photography.

A demonstration of, digital photography processing apps, and how to use them, and how to get that wow factor and really make your photographs pop! By using processing apps; such as Snapseed (free) and your built in processing app in your Smartphone or Tablet; How to fine tune, a photograph; exposure, colour, saturation and finer detail.

Getting the most out of Digital Photography Post processing apps using filters, & other photo and special effects.

Please note: Due to weather fluctuations, ‘Spring flowers’ cannot be guaranteed, but timing has been coordinated to hopefully capture the Spring palette of colours.

WHAT TO BRING:

Either iOS or Android Smartphone / Tablet, mini umbrella, food, water.

Please wear sensible clothing / footwear depending on the weather conditions.
