Skills training to build confidence in reading, writing, spelling and maths.
At The Community College, we believe learning changes everything. It builds confidence, opens doors, and connects people to new opportunities. Whether you’re returning to study, starting fresh, or simply curious to learn something new, this is a place to grow – at your own pace, in your own way.
We create safe, supportive learning spaces where people can rebuild confidence, gain new skills, and take the next step in study, work, or life. Our programs are flexible and welcoming, designed for real people and real goals.
We strengthen connection, inclusion, and wellbeing by making education accessible to people of all ages, backgrounds, and experiences. When learning is shared, communities grow stronger — and everyone benefits.
We partner with organisations to deliver practical, tailored training that builds capability, supports leadership, and helps teams thrive in a changing world. Our approach is collaborative and community-minded, focused on lasting impact.
We’re part of WEA Co, a not-for-profit organisation that has supported education in our region for more than a century. From WEA’s early community classes to today’s innovative programs across schools, workplaces, and neighbourhoods, our purpose has always been the same — to help people thrive through learning.
As one of WEA Co’s endorsed colleges, we bring that legacy to life every day: practical, inclusive, and designed for real people.
Our dedicated team of educators and support staff are passionate about creating opportunities for people to learn, grow, and belong. Together, we provide quality training and education that supports employment, personal interests, and social connection.

The Community College is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO No. 90297) accredited to deliver nationally recognised training across a wide range of areas. We meet the compliance requirements of the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA), and our programs are recognised and respected by employers, industry, and government.
While our roots are firmly in the Illawarra, we’re also part of the broader Community College network across New South Wales and a proud member of Community Education Australia (CEA). Together, this network strengthens our ability to advocate for learners, share resources, and deliver inclusive education that reaches further.
The Community College is more than a place to study. It’s where people rewrite their futures, strengthen their communities, and open new doors through learning.
