Enrolling at The Community College

When you’re ready to begin your course, enrolment is the first step. If you have any accessibility needs or require learning support, let us know on your enrolment form so we can make sure the right support is in place.

Getting started is simple

  • Click the Enrol Online button on your chosen course page.
  • Complete the enrolment form and make payment if required.
  • If you’re enrolling in more than one course, you’ll need to complete a form for each one. To save time, call us after your first enrolment and our admin team will help finalise the rest.

Please note: cash payments are not accepted.

After you enrol
  • You’ll receive a confirmation email with a welcome letter outlining what you need to bring and other course details.
  • Please enrol at least 5 days before your course begins to avoid cancellations due to low numbers.

Choose your enrolment pathway

Each type of course has slightly different enrolment steps and eligibility requirements. Choose the pathway that applies to your study area below.

Short courses

Short courses are quick and flexible to join — most don’t require eligibility checks.

  1. Select your course and click Enrol Online.
  2. Complete payment if required.
  3. Receive a confirmation email with your course details.
Full qualifications

Nationally recognised qualifications (Certificate II–IV) and traineeships have a few additional steps.

  1. Apply online or in person – complete your enrolment form and provide photo ID (Driver Licence and/or Medicare card).
  2. Meet with your trainer – confirm your goals, study options, and any support needs.
  3. Complete a Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) assessment – ensures your course matches your current skill level.
  4. Funding check – we’ll confirm your eligibility for Smart and Skilled or ACE funding.
  5. Receive your enrolment confirmation – once approved, you’ll receive your start date and next steps.
Foundation skills

Foundation skills courses are designed for learners who need extra support with reading, writing, maths, or computer skills.

  1. Contact our team to discuss your learning goals.
  2. We’ll arrange a short informal assessment to identify your support needs.
  3. Once we match you to the right course, we’ll guide you through the enrolment form and funding options (ACE or NSA FS).

Unique Student Identifier (USI)

To enrol in a nationally recognised qualification, you’ll need a Unique Student Identifier (USI). You can create or find yours at the official USI website.
