Skills training to build confidence in reading, writing, spelling and maths.
This course explores the science behind feeling good, functioning well and building a life that supports your wellbeing. Drawing on the field of positive psychology, you’ll discover practical, research-backed strategies that help you lift your mood, strengthen resilience and create meaningful change in your everyday life.
Together we’ll explore why your mind sometimes sends you down the garden path and gain some insights from the evolution
of the brain into why we’re more busy, stressed and discontent than ever before. (And what to do with it.)
You’ll be introduced to the PERMAH framework—Positive Emotion, Engagement, Relationships, Meaning, Accomplishment
and Health—which offers a clear, evidence-based pathway to human flourishing. Through practical examples and simple
exercises, you’ll learn how small shifts in each area can make a real difference to your overall wellbeing.
Together we’ll unpack your personal strengths and how to use them to rethink your challenges and how to build or change
your habits according to your values. You’ll discover ways to improve your focus and play with activities that amplify
happiness and improve your relationships. Rather than focusing on mental illness, this program centres on developing
positive mental health: learning how to protect, strengthen and improve your psychological wellbeing into the future.
By the end of the course, you’ll have a practical toolkit for living the good life: grounded in science, simple to apply and
designed to help you feel better and thrive in every part of your life.
