Mosaic Madness

This 6-week mosaic course is suitable for both beginners and experienced students.

Course overview

Come with a project in mind or come and choose your project with help. Work using tiles, crockery, glass or found objects. Mosaic onto pavers, boards, old tiles, pots, birdbaths, or any rigid surface. These are called the mosaic substrate. Most commonly used tools are tile nippers and wheeled glass cutters. A list of preferred tools and adhesives will be emailed to students upon enrolment, however, tools can be borrowed for the first class if you wish. For your first class bring an old towel, your substrate, and any tiles, glass and crockery you might like to use in your work. Bring your design if you have one. As the course progresses you will need to purchase gloves and grout.

For grouting please bring:

– Dust mask

– Apron

– Disposable or rubber gloves

– Grout

Students must wear enclosed shoes.
