Skills training to build confidence in reading, writing, spelling and maths.
Do you find reading, writing, maths, or computer skills challenging? Foundation skills training can help you improve in these areas, gain confidence, and open new opportunities for study and employment.
Our small, friendly classes provide flexible and practical learning for adults. You’ll work at your own pace with support from experienced trainers who understand your individual goals.
Do you have a group of people who would benefit from foundation skills training?
We can design a dedicated program tailored to your group’s goals or workplace needs. Training is usually held at The Community College, but can also be delivered at your site if required.
Getting started is easy. You can enrol online, in person, or by phone — whichever suits you best.
Before you begin, our team will meet with you to discuss your learning goals and arrange a short informal assessment to make sure you get the right level of support.
Foundation skills courses may be available with ACE funding through the NSW Government. This program supports learners who face barriers to education or employment, helping them build confidence and improve everyday skills for work and life.
Additional support for eligible learners is available under the NSA Foundational Skills program, funded by the Australian Government. This initiative provides fee-free or subsidised training in language, literacy, numeracy, and digital skills.
We’re here to help you find the right class, support, and funding options.
