Business and Leisure Program Specialist

We’re looking for a Business & Leisure Program Specialist to play a key leadership role within The Community College by WEA Co.

This role sits at the intersection of education quality, community impact and people leadership. You’ll be responsible for shaping, growing and maintaining a strong portfolio of accredited business and finance programs alongside a vibrant leisure and lifestyle program that responds to community interests and needs.

You’ll work closely with trainers and assessors to ensure programs are engaging, compliant and financially viable, while also building strong relationships with industry partners, stakeholders and the broader community. A core part of the role is supporting and mentoring a talented team of educators, balancing high standards with practical, human-centred leadership.

This is a hands-on role that suits someone who enjoys variety. One day you might be reviewing training resources and compliance requirements, another day supporting staff development, meeting with partners, or contributing to new program ideas that expand participation and access to learning.

Based in Wollongong, with some travel across the Illawarra, Shoalhaven and Southern Highlands, this role offers the opportunity to make a genuine difference in adult and community education within a values-driven organisation.
