Skills training to build confidence in reading, writing, spelling and maths.
The Community College by WEA Co is inviting expressions of interest from people who are skilled in their field and passionate about delivering accredited vocational programs across the Illawarra, Shoalhaven and Southern Highlands. We’re not advertising a single vacancy, we’re inviting expressions of interest from people who want to be part of something bigger, and who’ll be matched to opportunities as the right programs come together.
This isn’t a call for generalists. It’s a call for people with real industry experience and the skills, credentials and heart to bring it into the classroom in a way that genuinely changes what learners believe is possible for them.
Trainers and Assessors at The Community College deliver high-quality accredited training and conduct competency-based assessment within our RTO (RTO 90297). The role works in partnership with our Program Specialists to deliver programs aligned to learner needs, industry requirements, and ASQA regulatory standards.
This is a community-facing role, not just a classroom one. You will work with diverse cohorts of learners, including people with language, literacy, numeracy and digital skill needs, so you will be someone who can bring patience, professionalism and genuine engagement to every interaction.
We’re looking for experienced trainers who share our values and are genuinely committed to meeting community learning needs. You don’t need to have worked in an RTO before, and if you’re new to that world but confident in your industry expertise, we’d still love to hear from you. What matters most is that you hold the right credentials, know your industry deeply, and know how to work with people, especially those who are still finding their feet.
